At Advantere, we believe that education becomes truly transformative when learning is applied to real challenges and meaningful missions.
This year, students from our master’s programs collaborated with Mag+S Spain, the youth initiative of the Society of Jesus that accompanies young people aged 18 to 30 through spiritual formation, community life and social engagement.
Mag+S is present across Spain through a network of communities that invite young people to reflect, serve and grow together. Its mission combines pastoral accompaniment with social commitment, offering spaces where young adults can explore purpose, build relationships and contribute to the common good.
As part of a strategy consulting project, Advantere students worked closely with the Mag+S team to strengthen the organization’s capacity to continue fulfilling that mission.
Understanding the Needs of a New Generation

One of the project teams focused on analysing the needs and expectations of young people aged 18–30.
Through research and a survey that gathered nearly 500 responses, students collected valuable insights from both current participants and potential future members of the Mag+S community. This work helped identify what young people today are seeking in organizations that accompany their personal and spiritual journeys: community, meaning, opportunities for service, and spaces where they can grow with others.
These insights provided a clearer picture of how Mag+S can continue to connect with new generations.
Strengthening the Organization from Within

A second team focused on the internal architecture of the organization.
They analyzed roles, communication flows, governance and organizational structure to better understand how Mag+S operates internally. The goal was to help the organization strengthen the structures that support its mission.
As one of the students explains in the project video, working closely with this organization revealed an important reality:
“When you come close to this reality, you see that they are not a company. They don’t have the resources that normally a company would have. So they can use as much help as they can.”

This experience allowed students to understand that many organizations creating meaningful social impact operate with limited resources, yet their work is essential.
Expanding Digital Presence and Outreach

A third team focused on evaluating Mag+S’s digital presence and social media strategy.
Their work explored how the organization communicates online and how it can strengthen its visibility among younger audiences. In a digital environment where attention is fragmented and competition for engagement is high, clear and authentic communication becomes key to reaching and accompanying new generations.
The team delivered recommendations aimed at improving messaging, engagement and the overall coherence of Mag+S’s digital presence.
Learning Through Collaboration
For our students, the project was much more than an academic exercise.
It was an opportunity to apply strategic thinking to a real organization with a meaningful mission, and to understand that leadership is not only about efficiency or growth, but also about service.
One student described Mag+S as:
“A second home for many young people trying to build something meaningful in their lives.”

Projects like this reflect Advantere’s educational DNA: combining academic excellence with social impact and building bridges between education and organizations committed to the common good.
As a school founded by Comillas, Deusto and supported by Georgetown, Advantere is deeply rooted in the Jesuit tradition of forming leaders who combine professional excellence with responsibility towards society.
Collaborations like this allow our students to experience that mission firsthand.
We are grateful to Mag+S Spain for their trust and openness, and proud of our students for contributing their talent and insight to a project that supports young people across Spain.
Because leadership is not only about building organizations.
It is also about strengthening the missions that shape lives.
